Urbanvest Foundation, also known as Peas in a Pod, is a Place of Safety and a Child and Youth Care Centre for 32 vulnerable girls from age 6 – 18. The Organisation opened its door to young girls who have fallen victim to gender based abuse .
The Organisation was founded in 2010 and is based in the inner city of Pretoria. It has taken care of over 60 girls since inception.
Their mission is to serve the community with solutions. Where there is poverty, they aim to bring hope. Where there is abandonment, they aim to bring care and where there is abuse, they aim to bring healing.
UMMA AFRIKA Charity Trust have donated groceries to this wonderful Organisation, but plan to get more involved with their needs in future.
